2020 Vision

Hey y’all! It’s 2020, can you believe it?? I am so thankful for another year. I feel as ready as ever to take on the first year in this new decade. A. NEW. DECADE. I don’t want to get too carried away dreaming up dreams, but I definitely have my sights on some goals this year and beyond. For now, I’ll focus my attention on the present.

My words for the year are

perseverance: persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success

faith: complete trust or confidence in someone or something

and patience: the capacity to accept or tolerate

I don’t know why, but something inside of me is staying to buckle up and get ready for a hell of a ride. Maybe that’s because the goals I’ve set for myself are scaring the crap out of me, or perhaps it’s my Saturn return coming in hot, but I have that feeling and I can’t ignore it. Speaking of goals, I’m keeping them close to the vest for now. They may scare me, yet somehow I’ve managed to summon enough confidence to at least try, and I don’t need someone else’s doubts clouding up my vision. Ya dig?

I’m determined to follow my intuition more, something I regrettably ignored the last half of 2019 for reasons that are unknown to me, but hey! I’m on it. Are you curious how to encourage your intuition to speak up to a decibel that catches your attention? Try meditation. I find it’s the 100 percent most effective way to quiet down all the nonsense and hear what’s really going on in your mind and body. If meditation seems intimidating, try a yoga class–no flexibility required!

Finally, I’d like to offer some words of encouragement for all of my dreamers out there! The beginning of a brand new year I always see three types of people: the resolutioners, the anti-resolutioners, and the neutrals. Resolutioners are the people who set out with goals and intentions on bettering themselves. Noble. The anti-resolutioners are the people who talk crap about the people with lists. They tend to say things like, “new year goals are a waste of time.” The neutrals are fine with how they are and tend to go with the flow. All I am gonna say is let people have their dreams and their goals and their lists. If it’s not hurting you, why do you care exactly?

Keep doing you. Keep striving for personal growth and development. Keep working on yourself. Let people enjoy the things that make them happy. Be kind to each other ❤

That’s it!

Now lets go crush some goals!!
