If you’ve been following along for a while, you are probably catching on to a common trend here on my website– donuts!
I can’t get enough. They are just so fun to make! Don’t get me wrong. I love to make cookies and pies, too. But, I think baking donuts at home has that extra something special.
Did I forget to mention how incredibly easy this recipe is to make? Get your pen and paper, cause you’ll want to write this down.
Before I give away this amazing recipe to you, you’ll need to invest in a donut mold. I highly recommend getting a silicone mold. Why you ask? Because a silicone mold allows you to pop the donuts out easily, unlike a metal or tin mold, of which you sometimes have to pry your baked goods out.
Now, let’s get down to this recipe I’ve been raving about. By the way, my friends and family all agree that these are too good to pass up.
Alright, here it is.
- 1 box of fudge brownie mix– be sure to follow the directions for “cake like” brownies. If your box doesn’t have this mentioned somewhere on the back, simply add an egg. Some recipes will also have you add slightly more water as well. Other than that, follow the directions accordingly.
- Now, you have some options as far as how to pour your batter. I did it the donut way: pouring batter into a large ziploc bag, cutting a corner, and filled quickly. It came out pretty fast, so you can probably get away with spooning it in, or whatever method you think will work best. The end product is all the same.
That’s it! This method makes 9 donuts, if you are using the same silicone mold that I did. I filled each cup evenly, which used all of the batter.
I discovered this award-worthy idea the old fashioned way, by experimenting. I had some brownie mix lying around, and I decided I would give it a go and see what happened. I’m so glad I did, and you will be too! Enjoy ❤
